Controlled Rate Freezers
Controlled Rate Freezers are used to prepare samples prior to storing them at Cryogenic temperature and to protect sample from thermal shocks, ensuring maximum viability. As water constitutes around 80 % of tissue mass, CRF is used to freeze the samples at a cooling rate without formation of ice or crystals in the sample.
