AMBIENT OXYGEN MONITOR:
Liquid nitrogen if released into the atmosphere displaces the oxygen percentage and decreases the O2 level in the environment. This may cause asphyxiation. Victims of asphyxiation often are unaware of their predicament until they are incapable of saving themselves or even calling for help.
OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) has determined that "oxygen levels [in the air] below 19.5% are inadequate for an entrant's respiratory needs making Oxygen Monitor a necessity for Cryogenic rooms. Should the level of oxygen in the room drop below 19.5%, the monitor sounds an alarm.
